Pipe-friendly cleaning brushes

Cleaning reusable straws is easy! If you do this immediately after use, it is quick. Here are some tips to help you clean your reusable straws again, even if you use them to make thick smoothies.

Reusable straws are replacing plastic, and if you drink a smoothie a day or use a straw regularly, you'll understand the important role this plays in keeping marine life healthy.
Reusable metal straws are great - but this advantage does have a downside, they have to be cleaned. Sometimes just rinsing doesn't do the trick, they need a good home long pipe cleaner kit.

First, use home straw cleaner brush kit to rinse the straws with water to remove anything that tends to come off
Next, use a pipe cleaner and a cleaning brush and wet it in hot water and get it wet
Add a little soap to the pipe cleaner and rub it in with your fingers
Run the pipe cleaning brush through the straw
Repeat 1 to 5 times as necessary, depending on the drink stuck inside
Pick up the straw and see if the inside is clean and smooth. If not, repeat with the pipe cleaning brush.

Life happens and we don't always remember to wash the dishes. If you leave something in the straw overnight or at the weekend (gasp), it can be a little difficult. You may even question why you should try a reusable straw. Don't give up!

If the above steps don't clean the straw, try putting it in a pan or dish or in hot water for a few hours. It should soften and come right off as you brush over the previous tasty drink with a home brush cleaner tool kit.
