Garden hoses with assured materials and reassuring lengths

 I am delighted to have purchased this garden hose!

Like most other hoses, this is a classic expanding hose pipe that is about three times as long as it should be. What makes this one a little unusual is its camouflage black/green colour scheme, which means that it blends in well with the garden. hoses are traditionally partly brightly coloured so they are visible and don't pose a tripping hazard, but for a hose that stows away automatically after use, why not use a softer colour?

The out-of-the-box hoses have a standard quick connector on one end and a threaded connector (with shut-off tap) on the other end for connection to the gun provided. This does mean that if you wish to connect to an extra expansion hose you will need an extra connector, which I would do (I have screwed on an extra quick connect so that when I need a longer length it plugs into another expansion hose) . There is also an assortment of washers and tap reducers.

The gun supplied is above average, the thumb control is much better than the trigger and it also has the usual spray pattern. Finally there is a wall bracket to hang the hose on to the outdoor tap.

I really like the colour and the length is perfect for me to use on my outdoor taps for everyday canning and cleaning, or as a basic length to add extra garden hose. It's not as thick and strong as some expansion hoses I've used and the metal connectors are light, but these hoses don't last forever anyway and after a day of heavy use (pressure washing, car washing, greenhouse cleaning) , watering) I'm happy with this hose pipe.
